COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 16-hour + 24 hour Georgia Armed Guard Card certification course provides comprehensive training required for armed and unarmed security officers in the state of Georgia. The curriculum covers legal responsibilities, powers of arrest, use of force, and the Georgia Weapons Carry License (Blue Card) requirements when applicable. Students will learn professional conduct, report writing, incident observation and response, conflict resolution, and basic emergency procedures including CPR and first aid principles. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, and ethical decision-making in security operations.

Interactive classroom instruction and practical exercises develop skills in patrol procedures, access control, alarm response, handgun safety and proper handling and storage of firearms for armed applicants.
